Enjoy A Mediterranean Climate While In Lake Como For A Vacation

When you go up to Milan in Italy, do take a look at Lake Como, one of the most magnificent and spectacular lakes you have ever set your eyes on. It is about 50km in length and is quite deep too. The lake owes its origin to glaciers that melt round the year and keep up the supply of water to the lake which has the shape of the letter ‘Y’.

The Romans who ruled over Italy gave the lake a typical flavor while they were the in-charge of the nation. It has been known all over Italy and all over the world too as a resort offering comfort and peace to everyone who comes here in its quest. There have been countless tourists and visitors who have found solace and comfort in the luxurious villas. The mountainous slopes around the region abound in such villas.

A train journey from Milan is supposed to take not more than 40 minutes, and you will find yourself enjoying yourself in Lake Como. Alternatively, some tourists find a bus to be more convenient. There is a bus available between Bergamo Airport to Como, and buses to take you all around the Como.

For those looking for some novelty coupled with adventure, there is steamer and boats plying on the waters. A regular and fast boat service connects all the resorts dotting the area around Lake Como.

Lake Como has a Mediterranean climate. The winters get quite cool, while the temperature is quite high in summer. Snowfall is not a frequent phenomenon in Lake Como.
