What You Should Know Before Traveling to Jordan

Jordan is a small country in the Middle East. It has borders with Israel, Syria, Saudi Arabia, West Bank and Iraq. The size is 92.300km². Jordan has the population of 5.906.760 people. The capital city is Amman. The country code is 962.
In order to get to Jordan, you will need a visa. There are two types of visa. You can use a normal visa and Aqaba Special Economic Zone visa. Citizens of Turkey and Hong Kong don’t require a visa.  You can also get a visa that is valid for one month. Before traveling to this country, you should check with your embassy in order to see do you need a visa and how long you can stay without a visa.
The best way to travel to Jordan is by plane. The national airline is Royal Jordanian Airlines. However, British Airways, Air France and several more airlines can be found in this country. Jordan has two international airports. They are: Marka International Airport in East Amman and King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba. You can also travel to Jordan by a bus, boat and a car. However, because of the warm climate and possible conflicts in the region, it is recommended to travel by plane.
The official language is Arabic. It is one of the hardest languages in the world. However, a lot of people in Jordan understand the English language. Germans and French languages are also used, but less than English.
The official currency is the Jordanian dinar. Many restaurants and hotels will accept US Dollars. Also, they will accept credit cards.
