Three Lakes to Visit, Tour, and Stay in Italy

Italy is one of the most spectacular tourist destinations in the world. The rich culture, history, and diverse attraction sites lure millions of people from all across the globe to visit the country. Here are three lakes to visit, tour, and stay in Italy.

Lake Garda

Lake Garda is the largest lake in Italy and possibly one of the most beautiful. One of its main highlights is the balmy climate and spectacular views of the mountains that surround it. The cool breeze from the lake will help you unwind as you relax on its shores. There are plenty of modern and contemporary resorts, restaurants, and hotels around the lake for you to find accommodation during your stay in Italy.

Lake Camo

Lake Camo is another beautiful site in Italy that is nestled in a peaceful and charming environment. Ballagio is one of the towns that you can visit to interact with the residents and taste the local food. Varenna, a rugged shore on the eastern side of the lake, is another place that you should visit while touring this lake. There are passenger and car ferries in Varenna that you can use to get to the other side of the lake.

Lake Orta

Despite been one of the smallest lakes in Italy, it is still ranked among the most beautiful sites in the country. The lake is only 13 kilometers long and 3 kilometers wide. While here, take a few hours to visit Orta San Giulio to take photos of thick slate-roofed and cream-colored houses. There are contemporary wine bars and jewelry shops that you can frequent to purchase souvenirs and enjoy locally brewed wine.

Bonus Tip:

If this will be your first time to visit Italy, it is recommended to seek the services of a local travel agency to avoid getting lost.
